Second Shooting | The Barn Theatre at Winthrop

A few months ago I got to shoot with an amazing photographer, Jason Mize at the beautiful Barn Theatre at Winthrop in Brandon, FL. As the second shooter I usually shoot the men and details. The men were so funny getting ready. They had absolutely no idea what to do with all of the suspenders/cumber-bun/bow-tie/cufflinks. I think it took them longer to get ready than the girls. Ha!

New Product: Fabric Wall Cling

I’m excited that my pro-lab is producing some fabulous products. This new one that I’m offering is a fabric wall cling. It’s super easy to apply, fixes on your wall and doesn’t bubble or peel up in any way. If you get it wrong, you can peel it up and re-stick it as many times as you need. It doesn’t rip or wrinkle and won’t leave a sticky residue on your wall. Simply put, it’s amazing! The only negative I can see at all is that they are slightly sheer, so you wouldn’t want to place it on a bright colored wall or you’d have some of the wall color tinting your photograph (You can see a slight line of the gray stripe through mine). Really, these are fantastic though. I think they’d be perfect to put over a baby crib (no risk of a portrait or canvas falling) or on a big open space that you need  to fill. This one lives in my office and I love it so much.

Prices start at $59 for 20×30 size.

Wedding: Heath + Danielle | Chipley, FL

I shot this wedding with my friend, Leah of Leah Langley Photography, back in April in Chipley, FL. Her cousin, Danielle was getting married and she asked me to come shoot it with her. She told me over and over about how beautiful it was going to be but honestly, I wasn’t prepared. It was gorgeous. It’s one of my favorite weddings I’ve shot to date. Along with my favorite dress shot. Swoon.

Danielle and Heath, it was an honor to photograph your wedding. Thank you for the opportunity! xo

Maternity: Sara | Winter Park, FL

One of my oldest and best friends, Sara is pregnant with her second child. She suggested we do the shoot at this vintage candy store, Sassafras Sweet Shoppe, off of Park Avenue in Winter Park, FL. She even went all “Rosie the Riveter” in her look which, is two-fold because her little girl is going to be named Rosie. Love it.

We had a little fun and went full on vintage with candy cigarettes in this shot. Haha. So beautifully inappropriate. (FYI: we are in no way promoting real smoking here. Only sugar cigarettes.)

After the candy store we walked down to the rose garden to take some images there to honor Rosie’s name. We may or may not have picked some flowers. I plead the fifth.
Sara’s firstborn is named Lilly (Lillian) hence, a rose and a lilly. She mentioned that she’s going to have a little garden of children. Sounds like a fairy tale, doesn’t it?Then we headed to her house and took some photos with her husband and Lilly in the backyard. Sara put up some blankets as a backdrop which is totally her because she knits and actually has her own adorable etsy shop. You can visit it here. She also has an amazing crafter/momma blog that you need to add to your favorites, like yesterday. Here’s the link. You can thank me later.
